SilencerCo Identity 2016
SilencerCo has made a dedicated effort to alleviate the draconian restrictions on silencers, especially since silencers only serve to make the gun safer. And, contrary to Hollywood’s asinine representations, do not silence the firearm. They merely bring the decibels down to a hearing-safe level. Beyond efforts to positively impact NFA-related laws, we as SilencerCo have developed branding to reiterate our stance: We Are The Suppressed. And as such, we are working together to FightTheNoise. For 2016, we got approval for full black and white to demonstrate the lack of vibrancy that comes with being part of The Suppressed. A complete lack of color is rather restricting and provides obvious hurdles. In addition, we were limited to dark gray as the darkest value, and off-white as the lightest; no true black or true white was permitted. All physical material was printed on a toned gray paper, with lack of black. White was allowed on the website only for clickable links. All photos taken on film. We undertook an immense project by redoing the entire SilencerCo website. We even created a modified version of the logomark to go along with the handmade elements.
